FRIDAY AFTERNOON : An exploration of the body through movement
Gary has put together some new dates to continue this in-depth exploration of the yoga practice. These sessions are student-led, so Gary will encourage you to suggest areas of your practice or your body that you’d like to explore and theme the sessions as he goes. The last few sessions covered the pelvis, shoulders, neck and head. He will revisit these areas of course, but continue to explore other areas of focus also. These workshops will have some anatomy but they are movement-focused.
You can book all 5 sessions for a slightly discounted price, or choose to book them individually. If you book all 5 you will need to purchase the Class Pass. Here are the details:

The health benefits of Yoga

Yoga not only is an effective method to reduce stress, but also is a good way to get fit and stay healthy. Yoga classes bring together physical and mental disciplines to achieve peacefulness of body and mind, helping you relax and manage stress and anxiety

The potential health benefits of yoga classes include:
  • Stress reduction. A number of studies have shown that yoga can help reduce stress and anxiety. It can also enhance your mood and overall sense of well-being.
  • Improved fitness. Practising yoga can lead to improved balance, flexibility, range of motion and strength. And this means you’re less likely to injure yourself in other physical endeavours or in your daily activities.
  • Management of chronic conditions. Yoga can help reduce risk factors for chronic diseases, such as heart disease and high blood pressure. Yoga might also help alleviate chronic conditions, such as depression, pain, anxiety and insomnia.
