A Workshop with Gary Carter
Selected Friday afternoons 1.30 to 4.30pm in 2018
Other dates: 13th July, 28th Sept, 26th Oct, 7th Dec 2018
‘Encouraging ease and efficiency in movement for yoga practice and everyday life’
Gary brings his own unique teaching style together with his ‘skeletal’ models to give a great insight into how the body moves in yoga postures and the potential problems if we overlook the anatomical aspect of how we work. Gary uses anatomy props and images to provide a clearer understanding of the body, looking at the Myofascial structure from a new viewpoint and making sense of movement.
Gary will help to show the students how to refine their practice and take it to a deeper level, but understanding how to move efficiently, and that the understanding of practice is not only relevant to our yoga but also how we move in our daily lives.
These workshops are not for beginners to yoga, but for people who would like to explore their yoga practice in more depth. It is advised that you have worked with Gary before, or are familiar with the Scaravelli style. But if this is your first time you are very welcome, and we hope you enjoy what might be some new approaches to your practice.
Gary Carter created Natural Bodies Centre in 1992 to teach, train and encourage kinesthetic awareness, ease of movement, efficient body use in exercise, sport and many movement disciplines which can bring a renewed sense of health and vitality through into every day life through revolutionised personal training techniques, Yoga, Pilates, Gyrotonics, Martial Arts and Fascial Movement practices.
