Finding Our Foundations – Primary Support – The Foot & the Lower Leg

Gary will describe and explain the anatomy, articulation and function of the foot and lower leg relating to its connective tissue and tensegrity of the entire body with new neuro-fascial discoveries. As students we will develop an understanding of how the foot and lower leg works in key asanas and develop our kinaesthetic awareness particularly in the foot, examining the balance of weight and developing greater subtlety within postures, movement and response to gravity mechanisms.
Gary is at the cutting edge of the latest research into the architecture of human movement function and the neurology of movement. His yoga teachings are inspired by Vanda Scaravelli while he guides students to experience and understand tensional forces within the musculoskeletall structure and their implications for effortless and elastic movement.
